History and Achievements of The Community Fund

A longtime resident of Westchester County, New York, John Westerfield strives to support organizations that benefit his neighbors and hometown, as well as its citizens. In part one of this two-part article, Mr. Westerfield presented some of the history of The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe, Inc. in giving to nonprofits located in Westchester County communities. In this article, he discusses some of the more than two-dozen organizations that have received financial assistance from the Fund.

The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe gives to different groups with interests ranging from senior assistance and health to counseling and education. Beneficiary organizations include the community partner nonprofit Gramatan Village, The Bereavement Center of Westchester, the Bronxville Youth Council, Inc., and the Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corps, the latter of which recently purchased a new ambulance with contributions from the Fund.
