For a Uni Project we were asked to explore Maquarie Place (in Sydney) and deliver two seperate aspects of the space as well as integrate the concept of 'time' in some way. I decided to explore Light (and Shadow) through graphics and sound through Video. The graphics are extrapolated from photos taken from the space at different times of day, representing the interplay of light and shadow over time. The video, depicts a simplified bird's eye view of the space whereby a chained equaliser effect reacts to the music I have produced. All of the sounds within the music are either samples of city traffic or recordings taken directly from the space. The element of time is also present within the video, utilising subtle sound effects to reflect the history of the space.
