These images portray the views that can be seen from the vantage point where there is an elevation alongside a the deep wall that can allow visitors to gain height and have a different feeling looking around. 

The images above convey the view points when standing at the vantage point, the convex edge forces visitors to see majority of Sydney rather than having a focal point where the vantage point is then concave; However, with the vantage being convex, the deep wall will be placed within the concave part where it will become a focal point for any visitors that go there.
The images above, convey the concept of making the vantage point a concave curve in which allows the proposal to be the focal point.
