Typography in Context Magazine: Merge

Your magazine format is A4. You may choose to work portrait or landscape. Design a grid system for the cover (including spine and back) of your magazine. Using this grid system, design the first cover of your new publication (including spine and back). Decide on your issue theme (this must be relevant to the readership, the articles and the subject.

About:
Merge is a magazine which encompasses the ideas of combining disciplines to create a unified product, hence merge. In the magazine I played with my grid system to find an aesthetically pleasing piece, where I combined different papers and texture, the Kraft paper, with a white paper and the use of tracing paper within. Again, this plays on the merging of idea and is merged in the paper stocks.
