This project was constructed within a mature stand of oak trees. The developer-builder understood the value of new homes in mature forest and went to great lengths to have as little impact as possible on the trees. Originally constructed in the early 90's, the trees are still going strong nearly 20 years later.
Alexia was a consultant to the land planner and worked on the planning and landscape team for this project.

The trees shown were preserved during construction. All excvation was performed within the building auto courtyard. The bluestone sidewalk was placed with minimal disturbance to the tree rootzones by allowing only careful hand tool use, no machines.
