In 2019 I got the chance to visit Haryana a state in India known mostly for its intriguing dialect because of its widely portrayal in Bollywood.
I stayed there for a week in Jind a small district In Haryana. My work involved visiting school every day and I was awestruck by the way these government schools were built there.
They have a large place to themselves. A big playground to spread and play as much as they want and the luxury to set up their classroom outside beneath the sun.I couldn't help myself from feeling a little envy.
I tried capturing the essence of the school through these pictures.
I hope I was able to show you how sometimes a school situated in rural village cut off from the main city and children with dreams talking in an accent you hardly understand can have a lot to offer.
