Using the lowest grade dimensional lumber, traditional alaia surfboard's were shaped using contemporary forms of fabrication. Once the lumber was laminated and planed, a stippling pattern of ocean and woodgrain was routered out using a CNC machine to increase the surfboard's lightness. They were then shaped and made watertight with coatings of fibreglass. This was completed in collaboration with Matthew Kennedy (Studio North)
