Emily Walker Hall's profile

Emily Walker - truth. paper goods

Truth is of utmost importance.

We live by what we believe. And it is not enough to believe truth- one must continually remind oneself of it daily so it becomes a part of life, moment by moment, which then build into minutes, hours, and days.

From my passion for truth and freedom, I created truth. paper goods for the AIGA Orlando 2020 Mentorship. The goods feature designs centered around truth I embrace and want others to know as well. Physical items include art prints, folded cards, stickers, and an art book that describes the stories behind the designs.

My vision for this project is to allow others to encounter truth that is life-changing, spark conversations, and to bring freedom through Biblical truth and knowing God’s love through the art and the messages it declares.
Illustrations:

My project is centered around ten different illustrations, each showcasing a truth I have come to know and embrace in my life.

You are never alone. • Perfection has defined your value. • There is a beautiful purpose for your life. • A plan has been set in place for your life. • You can love others in freedom. • There is grace for your weaknesses. • You are never without hope. • You don’t need to have it all figured out right now. • Every moment can be redeemed. • Rejoice in both the good and difficult.
Greeting Cards:

The main focal point of my display is the greeting cards, which are folded 5x7” cards, printed on 12pt paper.
Art book:

Along with my illustrations, I designed and physically produced an art book which dives deeper into the stories behind each illustration. Everything from the copy, layout, printing, binding, cover, and book jacket was hand crafted.
Art Prints:

The illustrations are also offered as larger art prints for hanging and displaying.
Stickers and Magnet:

To go with the greeting cards, art prints, and book, I printed two sticker designs: a circle sticker, die-cut flowers, and a truth. die-cut magnet.
Thank You!

A big thank you goes to AIGA Orlando for the opportunity to participate in the program and to my mentor, Lauren, for taking the time to invest in the design community and me.

This experience cannot be replaced. Here's to a successful 2020 program and to the ones to come!

And of course, thank you to you for taking the time to view my project. :)
