Roots 2.0
Black and white stoneware container 3d printed and handmade pedestal 18x10x10 cm
A dialogue between traditional and contemporary techniques such as extruding, hand-moulding, 3d printed clay and wood firing process in Anagama kiln. The creative process start from a Jpg photograph of a tree roots near by, that it has been used as a texture for the cilindric 3d model in Rhinocero sofware. After 8 hours all night 3d printing while sleeping, the surprising organicity in the texture contradicted the personal idea about this mechanical process.
France 2018, realized in Domaine de Boisbuchet, with the collaboration of the 3d printing tutor Arnaud Rimbaud. Exhibited in Tac during dutch design week 2018, Eindhoven, Netherlands.
