Late summer haze
Albula Pass, Switzerland
Back in September 2019 on a trip home from Finale Ligure, Italy the drive up north towards home took us through Switzerland. From a similar solo trip in the year before, I remembered the drive quite briefly and chose the Albula Pass as a station to hang out for the night. As it was already late summer and the mass flow of tourists was over, we arrived for an empty but all the more beautiful scenery for sunset and the next mornings' sunrise.
Albula pass road - 2312 m above sea level - constructed 1855–1865.
Overlooking Middle Earth
Divine creatures were spotted soaking up the warmth and energy of the sun.
Golden haze coats the rugged mountain sides.
Due to avalanches the Albula pass road is closed from November til June. If you plan on going there, go in late summer for some magnificent color explosions and empty roads.
Postcard views from whichever direction you look.
Cotton candy hovering above distant peaks.
Thanks for taking your time to watch this photo series. I hope you appreciated it and maybe got some inspiration for future projects.

Cheers,
Moritz
