What: my design solution was a cannabis themed 'silent disco' (an environment in which their are different music channels that each individual can flip through to curate their own listening experience) which proved a perfect environment to introduce auditory stimulation as well as touch, taste and smell. This brought to life the elements of Leafly I found hidden, delightful and insightful and expounded on them to create an engaging and informative user experience in my work.

Mapping the user journey through the Leafly app. interface was a helpful exercise and allowed me to explore the user experience and stimulus that contributes to the hidden moment polarized in this work.

This video is a walk-through of the final prototyped environment which incorporates the Leafly artwork that inspired this work - you'll see this in the artwork representing the 4 channels. Each channel represents a different strain and has a soundtrack that contributes to an immersive sensory experience. While listening to the music of each strain, each of the channels/strains also has information on the effects, history and origin and pictures that contribute to learning and understanding. As you move through the space you are encouraged to touch, smell and even sample the cannabis strains being represented throughout the work.
One component of the final prototype was the sample bar area: using low resolution materials this depiction aims to represent an area you would be able to touch, smell, and smoke the cannabis strains and engage with this sensory environment as well as learn more about each strain.
