The Tasman
As we left the unstable entrance of the ice cave behind us the cold air filled with abundant darkness.

Nearing the end of the cave the blue glacier walls thinned. The sunlight began to dance its way through and highlight the wind licked curves, the striations and the 150 year old frozen bubbles.

We paused, absorbing the known. The known was that due to the rapidly changing environment of the glacier due to global warming, the moments we spent in there will never be able to be exactly recreated or experienced by another. Those moments will only live in our bittersweet memories and a few photos such as this.
