This lamp was designed to be reminiscent of my favorite style of architecture, brutalism. It's meant to accentuate the sharp shadows and simple geometric forms of the architectural style. The body of the lamp acts as its own lamp shade - the angles of the side pieces align perfectly to block a viewer from seeing the lightbulb directly.
