Stanford Basketball - Puppy Edition for HSSV

The background on this project was a little crazy.

I started on Monday with an idea, "The Stanford Cardinal Women's basketball team was going to the final 4."  Their head coach, Tara Vanderveer, is a supporter of Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV).  So HSSV wanted to do something to promote puppies and show their support for the team.

Well, the basketball game that Tara graciously was going to tweet about HSSV was on the coming Sunday.

What I had to do:
1. Sketch a web page for approval
2. Storyboard a video with puppies and the team
3. Shoot and edit the video
4. Create the web page graphics, logo, and video
5. Do any sound and special effects and animations for the video

All that had to be done before Friday. So thankfully I thought up a web page concept, sketched it, had the sketch approved, and the final rendering by Tuesday.  At the same time, I prepared the puppies, shooting location, and equipment for the video.

Below is that final product of my 40 hours of only working on this campaign.  The graphics, video, special effects, sound, and coding the web page, were all done by me in that short amount of time.  I don't think I can do it again.  It was crazy.

The work paid off though, because the video you see below was aired on the 6 O'clock news that week.  I posted a link to the ABC news segment below.  I was thrilled.
