Souvenirs Design
I was asked to design and make souvenirs with the industry in mind for making Memorabilia. A set of five objects, they are designed base on concept ‘Freeze the Moment’.
I really like the idea of showing moments from light projections. The final design is a set of candle covers that it is a new different type of souvenir but relates to the my story and concept. The souvenirs are designed with clear moments due to my concept is abstract, people can understand better in this way. When the entire set is exhibited, as a unit, people may feel the concept behind. The five candle covers will have varies shapes, sizes and scenes. Most importantly, as a functional object, candle cover only shows the moment when the candle is lighted. When the flame lights from inside of candle cover, the embarrassing moment appears at same time. The concept of ‘freeze the moment’ presents with environment around.
All the souvenirs are 3D printing with clay.
