THE COMMONS
THE STUDENT HOTEL, AMSTERDAM
In 2017, I was hired as a freelancer by The Student Hotel (TSH) to work on the restyling of their all-day dining concept 'The Pool'. For four months I was part of the TSH design team and was the lead designer on developing and detailing the revamp of 'The Pool' that was later named 'The Commons'.
The all day dining restaurant was in desperate need of a fun injection. The new 'Commons' concept is in a permanent state of festiveness. As if you just entered a party. A party that never ended. Or just started.
After a succesfull restyling of the Amsterdam 'Pool' to 'Commons', that was nominated in 2018 for an Entree Award in the 'Best Restyling' category, the concept is now being rolled out to other TSH locations: Amsterdam West, Rotterdam and The Hague.
