The Project Aim to attract tourists to the old city of fustat and present the history of the city among the years.
Concept Statement:
The Octagonal Star symbolizes the spread of Islam, while the side triangles indicate the humanity and the principles of harmony. With regard to the project, it is compatible with that mean according to many aspects. In principal, the octagon is adopted as the basic element throughout designing the center’s halls, the connections between these octagons are squares that represents the physical experience and the real world. On the other side, the triangles overlooks at the main mosques in the old Cairo. In essence, the project design has extracted from the octagonal star as a unique Islamic symbol.
