One of the top performing junior Dragon Boat teams in Trinidad & Tobago. 

The team has been competing in school, clubs and international regattas for the past 10 years.

The goal of the project was to develop a brand identity for the team to be easily recognized and memorable and attract sponsors and supporter involvement in team activities. The logo was to embody the tagline of the team "Strength and Power" while being simple and effective.

 
The client and I decided that a crest shape using simple geometric shapes was best while making use of Asian styled typefaces that would associate the team instantly with the sport and culture.

As a team, primarily funded by the College, it was decided that to aid in finances, apparel could be sold to supports who would come to regattas.

The team colours were green, yellow, white and black.

The illustration was drawn by hand using pencil and paper and digitally illustrated. The dragon design's variations were to be used on T-shirts, banners and other potential forms of media in the future. The illustration was modified accordingly for each form of application.

At each regatta for the past 2 years, I have covered the success of the team in the sport, in and out of the water using photography.

As it is a school team, the goal of the photography is not only to provide context but also to inspire new members to join this niche sport and continue the legacy of the previous teams.
