"When I lived in Okinawa, in the Ryukyu Islands off the coast of Japan there was a sea wall that protected the island from storms as the area is prone to Typhoons. When the sea is stormy and dangerous it is categorized as "C" condition weather and the advisory is to stay away from the beach. That was exactly when I loved to climb over the sea wall and sit among the "Giant Jacks" that break the waves to protect the wall. I would drink and curse the wind and waves as they crashed over me and threatened to drag me out to the China Sea."
