For its New York offices, Pinterest commissioned IwamotoScott to design its workspace occupying two floorplates of a high rise building across Fifth Ave from the main New York Public Library, which houses one of the original inspirations for the Pinterest website within: the Picture Library. The new workspace is anchored by a central communication stair, Scissor Stair that reinterprets the historic scissor stair inside the Library. The stair acts as a central hub and social activator for the workspace
