"Hear Better" Redesigning Hearing Aids

INITIAL BRIEF:
Exploring in-ear hearing aid as a sophisticated earpiece specifically designed for the target consumer.
The core idea is to design the custom IEM’s such that the final product is so delightful that even an audiophile should crave for it, this product should tarnish discriminations and evoke confidence in the user.
We as a society strive on discriminating anything and every thing that isn’t a mass phenomenon, coining it as normal and that doesn’t abide by it as abnormal.
Hearing impairment is one such stigma that affects our society. It isn’t just about the compromised senses of an individual but also the way they are perceived in the society and the alienation that comes along with it.
We don’t realize when our curiosity oversteps and turns into the person who suffers from hearing loss’ discomfort. How our insensitivity and lack of awareness affects our behavior towards them.
One such incident lead to the idea of redesigning hearing aids like a lifestyle product that evokes pride and confidence in the consumer and blends them amongst the society as a high end electronic device user who is enhancing their ability to hear rather than a person with disability.
I personally wanted to explore the existing technology as an assistive earphones for differently abled.
