These images show my posters and flyer for the Salford Showtime Carnival. The concept for my type was being able to recognize the letter even though bits are taken away. You can see this within the word “showtime” and ever so slightly on the “R”s in “roll up”.

 

The circles in the bottom left corner represent the circular shapes taken away from the “H” and “T” in “showtime” and the sharp lines in the top right corner represent the sharp lines going through the “R”s in “roll Up”. 

The blue banners go with the carnival theme but in a simple / contemporary style.
