A multi-experienced former attorney in Massachusetts, Gigi Cowan-Bondick has given extensively of her time to local charitable organizations, including the Concord-Carlisle Community Chest, on whose board she served for several years. In that capacity, Gigi Bondick focused on tax status assistance, grant allocations, and succession planning.

The Community Chest continues its efforts to build community and disburse funds to support worthy causes through various special annual events and programs, including the Day of Giving, which honors the range of groups, volunteers, and donors that contribute to making neighboring Concord and Carlisle vibrant places in which to live and work.

When the Community Chest held its Day of Giving in June 2018, its leadership officially awarded more than half a million dollars’ worth of grants to more than two dozen neighborhood agencies. Grant recipients included groups that focus on portfolios ranging from early childhood education to the needs of senior adults, cultural institutions to health care support, drug and violence prevention to restorative justice programs.

Held in a local church, the most recent Day of Giving drew close to 100 attendees, including donors, corporate sponsors, grant recipient agencies, and members of the community.
