The great Ahornboden / Maple Mountain Pasture is located in the Riß-valley of the Karwendel mountains at the border between Germany and Austria and is designated as a natural heritage. 

The maple trees are up to several hundred years old and nobody knows how they survived this long period of time - standing on pasture land among cattle.
