OVERVIEW
LP cover, also known as a vinyl record cover is the packaging of a commercially released audio recording product. The theme of the project is gender identity, of which I decided to focus on LGBT which stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender.
PROBLEM
To illustrate a record cover. Research and develop the chosen topic - gender identity.
SOLUTION
Taking inspiration from the letters in LGBTQIA+, I intended for the record cover to be playful and fun. So I picked a vibrant colour scheme and songs that are bright and cheery as a form of encouragement and positivity for the LGBT community. The idea of using fruits to represent each gender is also derived from how they look like body parts and how fruits are in various colours; an indirect representation of the rainbow, which is iconic to the LGBT.
