Curating Ideas
Our decided method of exhibiting our series is vinyl; this is due to the money aspect but more importantly the youthful and creative aspect to it that links to Peckham graffiti and applying creativity to the walls.
We also had a few ideas for how we would display out images in the exhibition.
One of the ideas was to have all the photos in a collage combined in a long strip, there would be a boarder around the collage that would be the same colour as whichever Peace wall post-it note that we chose. A photo of the post-it note would then be placed underneath the collage with a small description.
Another possible idea we had to incorporate the post-it note into out images is to have the messages on the post-it notes on top of our images in a graffiti style, we thought this may be a good idea as we noticed that graffiti was a big part of Peckham as everywhere we went there was some form of graffiti.
As we like both ideas as a group we may combine the two ideas in some way such as creating a collage of our images with the post-it note message going through all of them in one way or another.
