This photo was taken during the Diyandi festival in our city. It is a festival celebrating one of the city’s patron saints, Señor San Miguel (Michael Archangel). This event is the city’s highlight because it features the diverse culture of the tri-people (Muslim, Lumad, Christian) from Mindanao. In this photo, the dancers were partcipating in a street dance competition. The dance choreography mostly consist of these tribal groups praising and worshipping the patron saint (Archangel) for killing the devil. This festival is held during the month of September.
