SUPPLY was an online fashion, lifestyle, and interiors magazine intended for use on mobile devices as well as desktops. The content of the first issue primarily revolved around the first fleet of settlers to arrive on Australian shores in the 1700s. I was the senior graphic designer for the first issue.
Demonstration of thumbnail rollovers for contents page. The grid is designed to be flexible in order to give greater prominence to feature stories.
Family Affair was intended to highlight a different celebrity with each issue. The user drags the photos around the screen, as though rifling through a box of memories.
Tapping or clicking zooms in on a particular image, while swiping the zoomed in image or clicking on the corner flips it over to reveal a caption in the handwriting of the celebrity. The user may also hide and reveal the written portion of the story as they please.
Where Art Lives is a series of interviews conducted by Daimon Downey, a Sydney-based painter, with the patrons who purchased his work. The user clicks or taps on the envelope to open it, and drags the letter out to read the introduction. Typography by Daimon Downey.
To read the interviews, the user clicks on the tab behind each portrait and may scroll through the content.
Heathcliff, it’s Me... features an interior photoshoot inspired by a novel (in this issue, Wuthering Heights). The user swipes through the pages as though reading a book.
Tapping the ghosted quotation marks reveals a quote from the novel relating to the image.
Tapping hotspots on the images allows the user to zoom in on certain featured pieces, revealing information about the designer and linking to online shops where appropriate.
