Magnificent Desolation is a limited edition publication about the first moon landing in 1969. The book tells the story of Apollo 11 and its journey from Earth, to Neil Armstrong's first step on the moon, using the transcript between Apollo 11 and Mission Control and various design techniques.

Being a limited edition publication, the book is accompanied by a set of six postcards and a personalised, hand letter-pressed note.

Another aspect of the limited edition design was the use of hand screenprinted trajectory lines throughout the book, depicting the journey of Apollo 11 and ending with the bellow spread of Neil Armstrong stepping on the moon.
