SANS-SERIF VS. SERIF

This set was created through an exercise fraught with problem-solving opportunities. A list of specific content requirements was given to the designer, and she was then left to find an aesthetic arrangement for the pieces.

PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS

Only use the colors black and white, with at least two glyphs of each color.

Use five to eight unique alphanumeric glyphs in each composition; no punctuation.

Display at least five elements of typographic anatomy - for this set, the designer selected stem, shoulder, tittle, bowl, and descender.

Avoid any pictorial arrangements; keep everything purely abstract.
