Ich bin ein Berliner is a podcast at the NYU Berlin campus in Berlin, Germany.

Each podcast presents conversations in basic German or English between students at the New York University Berlin campus and their tandem partners, campus guards, fellow students, and administration. Conversations range from basic day-to-day activities to discussing experiences living in Berlin, as short-term study abroad students and born-and-raised Berliners.

The phrase is inspired by a quote made during a speech by John F. Kennedy when he visited Berlin, Germany on 26 June 1963. It was spoken as a boost of morale for West Berliners, underlying US support for West Germany 22 months after Soviet-supported East Germany built the Berlin Wall to prevent mass emigration to the West. 

In developing the logo, I drew from JFK's words, "Ich bin ein Berliner" in which he attempted to show solidarity with West Berliners, but also in affect stated he is a donut; Berliners are a jam-filled donut special to Berlin.
