TURBILHÃO é uma instalação audiovisual imersiva que explora a relação entre tecnologia, fetiche, consumo, estética e experiência, inspirado na teoria de Fetiche da Tecnologia feito por Henrique Tahan Novaes e Renato Dagnino (2004). TURBILHÃO is an immersive audiovisual installation that explores the relationship between technology, fetish, consumption, aesthetics and experience, inspired by the theory of Technology Fetish made by Henrique Tahan Novaes and Renato Dagnino (2004). Final project of my Bachelor Degree in Digital Design and exhibited at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná, at Curitiba, PR.
12 painéis de tecidos translúcidos soltos são intercalados em um ambiente escuro e adquirem um caráter etéreo, recebendo projeções que se repetem e se redimensionam conforme a distância. Um espelho infinito horizontal seduz o público para o fundo da estrutura, e revela um aglomerado de notificações com informações fragmentadas.

12 panels of floaty translucent fabrics are interspersed in a dark environment and acquire an ethereal character, receiving light projections that are repeated and scaled according to the distance. A horizontal infinite mirror seduces the audience to the end of the structure and reveals a cluster of notifications with fragmented information.
O espaço reflete uma relação tecnológica caótica, submergindo o público num vórtex esquizofrênico encantador. Do início ao fim há brechas para o enigma e o inesperado. O bombardeamento de sons e imagens definem os ecos da vivência tecnológica, e pode gerar desconforto ou claustrofobia.

The space reflects a chaotic technological relationship, immersing the audience in a charming schizophrenic vortex. From start to finish there are loopholes for the enigma and the unexpected. The bombardment of sounds and images define the echoes of technological experience, and can generate discomfort or claustrophobia.
O audiovisual projetado apresenta uma montagem acelerada com comerciais de produtos tecnológicos e vídeos virais, retratando um discurso personificado sobre os artefatos tecnológicos e aludindo certos ícones de vivência conectada. O design de som é sobrecarregado de efeitos de notificações e alarmes que muitas pessoas podem reconhecer.

The images projected features a fast montage of consumer electronics commercials and viral videos, portraying a personified discourse about technological artifacts and alluding to certain icons of the connected life. The sound design is overloaded with the effects of notifications and alarms that many people can recognize.
Toda a estrutura foi montada em três dias e aberta ao público durante um dia, pela manhã, tarde e noite. A obra foi bem sucedida em sua proposta de incomodar, encantar e instigar o pensamento crítico de quem desfruta a experiência. TURBILHÃO é a contemplação do frenesi virtual.

The entire structure was assembled in three days and opened to the public for one day, from morning to night. The work was successful in its proposal to disturb, enchant and instigate the critical thinking of those who got to go through this installation. TURBILHÃO is the physical contemplation of the virtual frenzy.
