2017 FLORIDA PRIZE IN CONTEMPORARY ART CATALOG
I had the privilege to design and coordinate the production of the 2017 annual Florida Prize in Contemporary Art catalog.
I coordinated with the Orlando Museum of Art exhibition department to gather artist statements and photos. I then laid out all the information and designed the cover. In the past, the covers were one of four vibrant Florida Prize brand colors. However, since this year, many of the exhibitions focussed on darker concepts like death, violence and hardship, I chose a textured dark gray background with a blue UV-raised logo. The art director and I felt the gray represented an accurate feeling of the exhibitions while still staying true to the brand colors with the pop of blue.
