This is a prototype of a website for a prospective client. Instead of using an image suspended on a
colored background, I opted for a wallpaper and icon layout that mimics a desktop or mobile phone
environment. This method was selected with the theory that mobile devices are commonly used to
access websites. If I were to carry the simplistic design scheme designers use for mobile sites and
applications and applied to a desktop -coupled with simple and unmistakable icons, localized images
with smooth gradations for wallpapers and non-intrusive graphical elements- I think the site would
have set it apart from its competitors like Argo Tea, DAVIDsTEA, and Starbucks.
