Kent District Library is an award-winning public library system operating 18 branch libraries that serve nearly 400,000 residents of 27 different municipalities throughout Kent County. A leading library in civic, community and library awards, KDL is an IRS-designed 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by millage dollars and private donations. KDL is a member of the Lakeland Library Cooperative.

The Kaleidoscope is a seasonal publication issued for large events held at various library branches and includes outside events related to KDL as well as library or patron-related stories. A branch calendar is available for an in-depth look into branch specific events.

Based on the happenings of the library, put together a semi-themed event publication as well as the more branch-specific calendars to match. These are quick turnaround projects, often from start to finish in a month or less.

Each season came with a slight update to cover and content featured. As we refined the Kaleidoscopes more, we came to a wonderful result of mixing large event information with storytelling with the help of Sabo PR. Where we used to list the branch hours on the back cover, it now is real estate for event advertisement hosted or in partnership with KDL. 

The branch calendars remained the same, but a tad more cleaned up with less text.These brochures are actually quad-fold to ensure all the branch event information can be included without missing a beat.
