Mud Benches in Public Spaces

Mud Benches in Public Space

As part of placeArts project we  decided to activate some of the public spaces in different communities by making Mud benches which as a gathering space and involves social interaction with the communities.
PlaceArts approached experts from designEarth who uses traditional and local natural materials to build contemporary spaces to guide us and they run several workshops with us to teach the cob building technique.
Cob construction is an ancient building technique using lumps of earth mixed with sand, straw, and water to make homes, chicken coops, barns, and Etc.
