Art 230: Type Poster

I am currently enrolled in a typography class at BYU-Idaho. For our third project we were instructed to create a 16x20 printed type poster.
Context: We have been contacted by Fonts.com to create a poster promoting a font (we can pick one font we would like to promote from our class list of 12 fonts). Our audience is other professional designers. The main goal for our poster is for it to catch a designer’s eye and encourage them to purchase the font. The use of typographic hierarchy is highly encouraged as well as showcasing the versatility and possibility of the font we choose. The poster must contain all the information needed for a designer to purchase the font, such as the price and where they can find it. It must also include a brief history/information about the font, including the font designer’s name. The font we are selling is the only font we can use, and there must be samples of all the weights available included on the poster. We also have to use a minimum of three colors. I personally chose to to sell the Swiss font Neue Haas Grotesk.
