Light through Leaves

Technique
Photography (cropped)

Tools and Process
Camera: Panasonic DMC-GX1
Lens: LUMIX G 20
ISO: 400
Exposure: F10 SS 1/100 seconds
Focal length: 20mm

In this photo I attempted to capture the sun light coming through overlapping leaves. I set higher ISO and F value to keep food field of depth and shutter speed to capture overlapping moving leaves.

Reasoning
Light through the leaves are usually flattened in photographs although our eyes see more complex pattern in leaves and light. I wanted to capture that by focusing on the light in particular area.

Reflection
I am satisfied with the outcome in terms of colour contrast and the shape  of shadows coasted on the leaves. I would see how it works on different types of leaves and lights.
