Watching an Iceberg Calve - Antarctica     3' x 4' oil on canvas    $4,500
This was painted from a sketch that I did on location. As I was sitting painting on the glacier, penguins walked past me, a minke whale swam by, and an iceberg calved on the other side of the water. It took me 3 days, and many discussions with the scientists to figure out why the snow had a pink cast.
Baffin Island Icebergs - Canadian Arctic      3' x 4' oil on canvas      $4,500
Transition - Auyuittuq National Park, Baffin Island, Canadian Arctic    24" x 48"      $3,500
In Inuktitut (the language the Inuit people speak), Auyuittuq means "Land that Never Melts". When you compare this painting to one that was done from a previous expedition, you will see how drastically the glaciers have melted in a few short years. The ice is changing to water in a land that is in transition.
Climate of Hope - Baffin Island, Canadian Arctic        4' x 5' oil on canvas       SOLD
A robin sits on top of the iceberg, polar bear footprints disappear into the water but, the light gives us hope that we can work together to make a difference.
Auyuittuq - The Land that Never Melts - Canadian Arctic       3' x 4' oil on canvas          SOLD
In 2009, I had the privilege of backpacking through this amazing park in the Canadian Arctic with a group of friends. It was incredible to see the effects of climate change and talk to the Inuit artists from the area about  the changes and the impact on their communities.
