The Metaprint project was a collection of factory supergraphics on the outskirts of Tallinn.
The factory produces labels for aerosol cans and that was a part of the idea from the get-go.
Also a fact worth noting is that the timeframe for this one was truly minuscule. Fast, agile communication and simple explanations were key.

The canvas for this project was huge: several sides of a giant building, all smooth concrete ripe for painting. The question was how to utilize the space for maximum effect? (Taking into consideration the theme and the production inside the building.) Through these ideas the final pattern emerged, going through several stages and changes beforehand (largely and weirdly similar to the things going on inside).

Incorporating large clear elements worked for the regular eye as well as the painters: much easier to do than a huge detailed pattern.

Thank you!
