The Education Gazette is a fortnightly magazine produced for the Ministry of Education. It is distributed all schools in New Zealand.

The size varies from 40-60+ pages and is printed and distributed on a tight 14 day turnaround.

I am 50% of a team of two designers who produce this magazine. We design the magazine cover to cover in collaboration with the sales and editorial staff in charge of this magazine.

The magazine content begins with articles on the education sector and moves into teaching vacancy listings from across the country. This is templated and usually takes up 60% of the magazine.

The attention to detail required in this magazine to meet Ministry standards takes hours each week and has a sign off process that goes through several sets of eyes.
