Interference Archives Brochure
A brochure turned protest poster to advertise the Interference Archives, a library on political movements. Interference Archives has a lot of content on the 1960s which is a great source to reflect on today's political climate.
After taking an American History course, I was very inspired by how much fight people had in the 1960s, they were not afraid to speak out against all the injustices that the people before them had grown accustomed to. I also visited a library called Interference Archives that has a collection of all things revolutionary, from books to zines and even protest posters, both old and new from all over the world for others to visit and maybe even inspire to make a change.
One of the things I liked the most about Interference Archives is that at the door they have flyers about current events and problems in the world that a lot of people aren’t aware about, that is reminiscent of zine culture of the late 80s and early 90s. What they didn’t have was some sort of business card or information about their own vault of knowledge, so I decided to create something that educated the reader about the past we as a country have faced but also the same issues we’re currently still fighting for today. It doesn’t give much away but just enough to peak one’s interest since I want the reader to become a visitor of the library and research these topics and events on their own.
Thanks for viewing!
