What if luxury had an edge?
There was a new development project in Sa'adiyat Island in Abu Dhabi that was unlike any other. They were building a museum area including the Louvre, Guggenheim and Sheikh Zayed Museum. The museums were placed in a triangle, and the area in the middle would be curated with high-end shops and trendy restaurants. That area would be called 'The District'.
I decided to use the triangle as my major design element, while keeping the brand minimal and high-end. As the project progressed I decided to hint at a triangle by using slanted lines to push the minimalism further.
