An outreach initiative targeted at stay alone seniors who are more prone to being isolated from the rest of the community. We hope to create a common space that allows seniors to create bonds and rediscover their potential with the help of the community, through the use of participatory design approach.
Our website archives initiative processes from research to application of method. It acts as a call to action for user engagement as well as an informative platform for designers and community organisations interested in picking up participatory approaches. On top of that to shed light on the important issue of potential social isolation of stay alone elderly people and the need to be proactive in engaging these at-risk people.
A series of publications documenting out journey was created in order to accompany the project’s website and workshop materials. This first issue identifies the issue, context and target users. Next it highlights the approach we are using as well as the methods. Ending with the projected outcomes we hope to achieve.
