Quinnipiac University

During my five year education at Quinnipiac University, I took a multitude of graphic design and user experience courses to earn both a bachelor's degree in Interactive Digital Design and a master's degree in Interactive Media. I learned about and honed my skills in all aspects of graphic design, but grew the most fond of web, digital, and print design. Below are a few of my favorite projects I created during my higher education.
Andy Warhol Magazine Spread

A project I completed while earning my degree. For this project, I was to choose an artist of my liking and create a magazine spread for them. The magazine spread included a short excerpt about the artist, a quote from the artist, and an image of the artist and their work. The magazine spread also served as an advertisement for an upcoming event that showcased this artist's work. I picked Andy Warhol because of his vibrant designs. More specifically, I chose to use the piece Grevy's Zebra for it's eccentric color scheme which I thought would really help the spread stand out in a magazine.
Beethoven's Fifth Concert Poster

This was a poster project I did during my undergraduate program. The poster is for an orchestra that performs Beethoven's Fifth. The goal for this project was to use all of the elements shown, arranged as I please. I also needed to alter a photograph of Beethoven, so I utilized Photoshop to add some visual effects to make the image of Beethoven stand out as a focal point. I thought that the contrast of the warm yellow against the dark grey background allowed me to highlight important information on the poster without making it seem like the reader is drowning in text.
Elizabeth Park Flier

The Elizabeth Park flier was created during my undergraduate program in a typography course. Our task was to create an appealing layout using the different text elements found in this flier. This was my first challenge as a design student to create effective design work without using any additional colors. This project was an eye opening journey in creating visually stunning and user friendly products through effective text.
Gaming Industry Infographic

In my graduate program, we were tasked with making an information graphic based on one of the topics we learned throughout the semester. Being a passionate gamer, I sprung at the idea of combining my design skills with one of my favorite hobbies. Through various research and with the help of some colorful icons, I put together this information graphic on today's video game industry. The graphic includes information about the average gamer, including age, genre interests, and how many years they've been gaming.
