塔山事 The Stories of Ta Mountain
「我們是追著山豬來的！」── 來吉村鄒族原住民
“We came here for pursuing wild boar!” -- a Tsou people from Laiji Village
臺灣阿里山鄉來吉村是著名的「鄒族」部落；以此為聚焦，進行原住民文化教育的深根探討。
Laiji Village, also known as the village of wild boar, located in Alishan Township, Taiwan, is one of the famous tribe of Tsou people; here we want to study more about the cultural education for children in Laiji Village.
我們在來吉國小進行田野調查，並與當地師生進行互動，我們從教案互動中讓學生們繪製對於鄒族傳說故事的解釋，並以這樣的過程與分享得知學生對自我文化是否充分認識，發掘鄒族學童新的畫面詮釋。
Through visiting Laiji Elementary School and interacting with teachers and students. From such Field study, we figure out how much the students understand their legends and culture of their tribe which provides us reference to proceed our upcoming project.
我們選擇學生們最有感受、印象最深的五個鄒族傳說故事進行一系列視覺設計，著手「塔山事」專案的進行。
分別為「大洪水」、「塔山上的白衣」、「射日月」、「楓葉造人」、「復仇的山豬」，從立體故事書景的教材製作，讓來吉國小的學生們對傳說故事有不同面貌的發現，希望藉由系列教材的設計，加深鄒族原住民學生對自我文化的記憶與認同。
We have chosen five of the students’ most favorite legends of Tsou as topics we develop in our project “The Stories of Ta Mountain”, including “The Story of Great Flood”,” The White Cloth on Ta Mountain”, “The Story of Shooting Down the Sun and Moon”, “The Creation of Humankind from Maple” and “The Revenge of Wild Boar”. We use Pop-up book as a medium to tell those stories; through this series of work, we want to let the students have fun while they are reading them and at the same time to enhance their knowledge and recognition of their own culture.
