Marine Wildlife Laboratory Building

*Project done as part of my study of architectural technology at DIT Bolton Street.

In Brief

Date of completion: 2012
Purpose: Theoretical/ Thesis
Category: Architectural Technology
Design: Olwyn Green

A large project with numerous extension projects. However entirely theoretical.

For this project I had to cover all aspects of building construction and functionality. While design was the role an assigned student architect, I had to ensure the building was designed with suitable access for the disabled and fire safety in mind. And all roles of the Technologist: Sustainability, Material Specification, site analysis, construction technology ect.
While there are extensive research and report documents that should accompany, here, I have only shown the CAD drawings.

Below you will see:
Site plan
Ground floor plan
First floor plan
Elevations
Sections
Three Details
Door Schedules

No time to remove mistakes before portfolio deadline.

The sizes of the below images have been reduced from A1 to A3 so information and details may be hard to scrutinize. If you are an employer and would like to see the full size sheets as a PDF or any of the ancillary documents I will gladly send you a copy via e-mail.
