The company that started an economic downward spiral.
If you have ever been to Houston or even remotely close to our downtown area you can see a huge gleaming building that shoots through the skyline as if it was a centerpiece for the entire city, this building is the Enron building, and it embodies what people have come to identify as one of the biggest financial scandals in our country's history. The things that Ken Ley did are nothing short of disgusting and truly show the extent that people will go to just to inflate their own wallets, and egos.

I have been wanting to do this piece for a couple of years but I really didn't know how I wanted to approach it until I found a sketch from my Freshman year at UH when I was still in the Graphic Communications program. I immediately grabbed the sketch, redid it, laid some colors just to help me visualize it a little better and then I eyeballed it in illustrator since my scanner is down right now. All in all, this went from sketchbook to Illustrator to Photoshop to finished product in about 3.5 hours.

Software Used:

Illustrator and Photoshop CS6
Sketch, and the Scotch that helped make it happen.
Finished 3 color illustration that was taken into Photoshop, at this point, I really had no clue where i was going with the color as the real Enron logo uses RGB in the ugliest way possible.
Final product that actually uses Enron's building as the inspiration in the way it was rendered. The Enron building almost has a blueish green tint to it on a sunny day and is easily the most reflective building in the city and casts an equally large shadow.
