In the summer of 2016 I did all the graphic design, illustrations and more for the "Haags Historisch Festijn 2016" (or The Hague Historic Festival 2016 in English), which was organized by Historie-KS. They did an amazing job on bringing the history of the Hague to life, a lot of historical scenes could be seen in the Binnenhof, the Paleistuin and the Hofvijver. Knights, cavalry, archers and queens were performing on these places for thousands of visitors. 

The poster is quite similar to the flyer, only a couple things have changed. The program for the day was moved to the front and a special box was integrated for shop-owners to write something on it which related to the event. 

These drawings are especially made for children, later on they were used for a coloring page and a document which is fun for the children. 

The characters include:

- A knight raising his sword

- De Graaf van Brederode, one of the nobility. 

- One of the queens of the Netherlands. 

- An archer holding his bent bow, ready to fire an arrow at his target. 

For the Kids

Everyone loves colouring, right? That's why I made this colouring page. 

I designed the document which allowed the kids to learn a bit about the Dutch history in an accessible and fun way. They were even rewarded with an ice cream afterwards when they got all the signatures. 

Four two meters high triangular signs were planned for the three places where the event took place. I designed these three faces on my computer screen, so I couldn't really see the enormous size it came in when it was printed. It was truly amazing to see my work come to life like this, with thousands of people walking by and appreciating your work. 

The promo video I rendered using Blender and edited using Final Cut Pro for the Facebook page was something I did to generate publicity for the event. I also made the music fragment myself using my iPad.
