Hideout home

Bukolsky Architects designed a one-bedroom house for a client. Defining feature of the house was its north-west facing curved wall, protecting its only occupant from prying eyes of neighbours as well as creating a sense of security and privacy inside. We were granted a building permission, but the client then decided to take overseas job and sold plot including the planing permit.
The new owner liked our design and I was given a task of redesigning house to fit the needs of four family members; their two cars, several motorbikes, laundry room and a fitness as well as a separate bathroom for kids and a cloak room.
I extended the signature stone wall, and rotated it to create an elevated platform for  the kids bedrooms. The fitness and the utilities were placed underneath. The whole project takes advantage of the site terrain and evolving around existing pool. This house is currently being built.
